Well, after reading another post on making a reading list for 2012, I've decided to jump in and give it a try. I went into our office and pulled all the books off the bookshelf that I've been wanting to read which I've acquired over the past few years i.e. since I've had children. My goal is to read 12 books, in their entirety, this year. Perhaps this will help me learn to finish projects I start! A girl can dream, right?
1. Kisses From Katie by Katie Davis
2. Hopeful Parenting by David Jeremiah
3. 40 Unforgettable Dates with your Mate by Dr. Gary & Barbara Rosberg
4. Comeback Churches by Ed Stetzer and Mike Dodson
5. The Monday Morning Church by Jerry Cook
6. The Five Love Languages* by Gary Chapman
7. When You Rise Up by R.C. Sproul Jr.
8. Educating the WholeHearted Child by Clay Clarkson with Sally Clarkson
9. Where the Road Leads* by Larisa Kernozhytska
10. Foundations - History of Christianity*
11. Foundations - Spritual Formation*
12. Foundations - Church of God of Prophecy Concise History, Polity, Doctrine, and Future*
All of the titles with a * on the end are books that I must actually finish. The last 3 books listed are required reading for my ministry liscense. To be completely fair to myself, I must add them to the list simply because, if I do actually finish all 3 of those by this summer, I will have accomplished a huge goal! Plus, if I don't add them to the list, I'll probably get distracted and not finish them either!
So, what books are on your must read list for 2012?
I'd love to hear from you!
